Free Mac app directories to list your app

Checked Oct 30, 2026, from our dated comparison of launch sites.

Kort antwoord

4 sites on our dated comparison of where to launch a Mac app fit this question: MacBase, NativeShelf, awesome-mac and MacPip.They reach different people, so most makers use several. There is no single best one for everyone.MacPip is in the table and it is our own site, so weigh that.

Mostly read on each site's own pages. Prices and rules change, so confirm them before you pay.

If you made a Mac app, listing it on a few Mac-only directories is one of the cheapest things you can do for it. Each listing is a page that search engines and AI assistants can find, and some give you a followed link.

These are the Mac-focused sites from our dated comparison that had a confirmed free way to list when we checked on October 30, 2026. Some ask for a badge on your site in return for a followed link, so read the link column.

MacPip is one of them and it is our own site. We put it last.

MacPip is a free directory and launch site for Mac apps only. You pick your launch date, and the listing has a followed link. A badge is asked for on a free launch only. Paid places beginnen at $25 for 7 days, and they are labeled as paid and kept apart from the list. It is new and small, so do not expect Product Hunt traffic. Our numbers are public on the stats page.
