MacWall

MacWall is a native macOS app that turns looping video into your desktop wallpaper. It is written in Swift, decodes video in hardware, and lives in the menu bar rather than the Dock. Browse a curated catalog of 850+ live wallpapers, most in 4K, across nine categories including Nature, Space, Cars, Abstract and Dark, or import your own MP4 and MOV clips with Pro. Play one wallpaper on every display or a different one on each screen, shuffle on a timer or set a Day Schedule, and change playback speed from 0.5x to 2x. On macOS 26 (Tahoe) and later, the same wallpaper can play on the Lock Screen and screen saver. Music Sync turns the album art of what you play in Apple Music or Spotify into a gradient wallpaper, and Bend folds, blurs and dims the desktop as you close an Apple silicon MacBook's lid. Playback pauses behind full-screen apps, and optionally on battery or in Low Power Mode. Free for 24 hours, then a one-time license.
