Product Hunt is free, and on a good day it brings a lot of visitors. Most of them are not looking for a Mac app, though, and the link it gives you counts for little: a September 2026 test saw Product Hunt use a ugc link, which search engines discount.

Show HN is the Hacker News section for things people can try. It is free, there is nothing to buy, and the rules say you must have built what you post. The value is the discussion: expect sharp technical questions, and be there to answer them. Like Product Hunt, Hacker News forbids asking people to upvote.

Uneed lists all kinds of tech products, not just Mac apps. A free launch puts you at the back of the line, and its pages did not say how long the wait is. Fast-track costs $14.99 and Skip the line costs $39.99. Its pricing page also sets upvote scores for free and fast-track links, so read it before you choose.

Peerlist Launchpad runs weekly, with the window opening on Monday. It is for individual makers with a Peerlist profile, and top projects get extra promotion. Its pages did not state a fee when we checked, and we did not check its links.

r/macapps is where Mac users on Reddit talk about apps, so the people reading already want Mac software. Posting is free. We could not read Reddit directly, and a mirror showed a limit of one app post per 30 days for developers. Read the current rules first, and make that one post count.

MacPip is a free directory and launch site for Mac apps only. You pick your launch date, and the listing has a followed link. A badge is asked for on a free launch only. Paid placesはat $25 for 7 days, and they are labeled as paid and kept apart from the list. It is new and small, so do not expect Product Hunt traffic. Our numbers are public on the stats pageからです。
A launch site is worth what its audience is worth to you. A huge general audience can send hundreds of visitors who never buy. A small Mac audience sends fewer people, but more of them own a Mac and came looking for an app.
Two other things matter more than they look. The first is whether you can pick your day, so it does not land on top of a big release. The second is the link: a followed link from a relevant page keeps working for search long after launch day is forgotten. The backlinks page compares what each site gives.
