Show HN is the Hacker News section for things people can try. It is free, there is nothing to buy, and the rules say you must have built what you post. The value is the discussion: expect sharp technical questions, and be there to answer them. Like Product Hunt, Hacker News forbids asking people to upvote.

MacPip is a free directory and launch site for Mac apps only. You pick your launch date, and the listing has a followed link. A badge is asked for on a free launch only.
