Your badge is your free ticket.

Put our small badge on your app's site, and your launch day is free. Your app becomes a Friend of MacPip too: six little perks that help people find it. Keep it up and the perks stay.

Your badge links back to us, and your backlink grows as MacPip grows. A listing needs no badge, and a Premium launch needs none: both keep their dofollow backlink.

What a Friend gets

Tap or hover each one to see it work.

A Friend tickA small rainbow tick next to your app's name: on cards, your page, your maker page, search and MacPip Tuesday.
A rainbow glow and a Friend ribbonYour app's little Mac card gets a rainbow screen and a Friend ribbon on its corner, unless its launch day or a #1 badge is showing. Its row in lists gets a soft rainbow wash.
The Friends shelfA labeled shelf at the top of Browse and your category. It turns every day, so every Friend gets the same turn.
A live badgeThe badge on your site shows your launch day, then your votes, and your place if you make the top of the day or the week. Real numbers only.
A row in MacPip TuesdayFriends get a little row of their own in the weekly email, apart from the most voted launches.
A free week on the home pageSeven days in Friends of MacPip, booked by itself on the next open day, once your app is approved and we see your badge.

What the badge never changes

  • Your followed link is free for everyone. Every approved listing gets a normal followed link to its site, badge or not. A free launch needs the badge, and if it comes down after launch and stays down past a grace day, that launch loses its place and its link turns nofollow.
  • Votes stay votes. Launch-day order comes from votes only. The badge never moves anyone up or down, and nobody can pay to.
  • Friends are labeled. The shelf and the free week say Friends of MacPip, and they are never the paid Featured places.

How it works

  1. Pick your app below and copy its code. It always links to your own page on MacPip.
  2. Put it on your site as a plain, visible link, on the page your listing links to. Or let your coding agent do it.
  3. Press Check my site. When we see it, every perk switches on together. We look again every day, and if the badge goes, the perks pause until it is back.
Not on MacPip yet?It is free, and we scan your app. The submit form has the badge step built in.
